This policy applies to eligible residential installations completed by Connect Heating & Cooling Pty Ltd.

2. Manufacturer Warranty — Daikin & Mitsubishi Electric

All Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning systems supplied and installed by Connect Heating & Cooling Pty Ltd are covered by a 5-year manufacturer parts and labour warranty (manufacturer terms and conditions apply).

This warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer and covers:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Component failure
  • System faults not caused by misuse, damage, or improper operation

To remain valid, systems must:

  • Be installed by a licensed and qualified technician
  • Be operated in accordance with manufacturer instructions
  • Be maintained at reasonable servicing intervals

Where a valid manufacturer warranty claim applies, repairs will be completed in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty process.

3. Installation Workmanship Warranty — 12 Months

Connect Heating & Cooling Pty Ltd provides a 12-month installation workmanship warranty from the date of installation.

This warranty covers defects arising directly from installation workmanship, including but not limited to:

  • Installation-related performance issues
  • Incorrect installation of pipework, cabling or fittings
  • System faults caused by installer error

Where a workmanship issue is identified within the warranty period, Connect Heating & Cooling Pty Ltd will:

  • Inspect the installation
  • Diagnose the fault
  • Rectify the issue at no cost to the customer

This warranty applies only to installation-related faults and does not replace or override manufacturer warranty conditions.

4. Exclusions

The installation workmanship warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or physical impact
  • Environmental or weather-related damage
  • Pest, vermin or insect damage
  • Lack of proper maintenance or blocked filters
  • Customer-supplied equipment or third-party alterations
  • Electrical supply faults or power surges
  • Units relocated, modified or serviced by another party

Non-installation faults may be referred to the manufacturer under the product warranty process.

5. Warranty Claims Process

If a customer believes a warranty issue exists, they should:

  • Contact Connect Heating & Cooling Pty Ltd as soon as practicable
  • Provide proof of purchase and installation date
  • Describe the fault or performance concern

An assessment will be arranged to determine whether the fault falls under:

  • Manufacturer warranty
  • Installation workmanship warranty
  • General service, maintenance, or user-related issue

Where a call-out or issue is found not to be warranty-related, standard service fees may apply.

6. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty eligibility, customers are responsible for:

  • Reasonable care and correct system operation
  • Cleaning or replacing filters as required
  • Arranging maintenance servicing at appropriate intervals
